What the community numbers measure
On December 14, 2021, YouTube announced that Minecraft videos had passed one trillion views in total, making it the most popular game on the platform.
Every other community figure comes from the platform that hosts it: views and subscribers from YouTube and Twitch, members from Reddit, downloads from CurseForge and Modrinth. A mod published on both CurseForge and Modrinth keeps two separate download counters, so adding them up gives a total that neither site shows.
r/Minecraft, YouTube and Twitch and the most downloaded mods each go into one of these.
